Jay-Z and Kanye West, currently on their Watch The Throne tour, performed in Montreal on Tuesday night and in Toronto last night. The show was a stunner. Just Hov and Ye all night. No special guests, no props (except for the hydraulic-powered stage rising high above the crowd from time to time and a couple of massive screens playing nature scenes), and no band to distract. Just two of hip hop’s greatest performing songs off their Watch The Throne collaborative album, and a slew of their solo hits. 28 songs to be exact, with three renditions of the triumphant N-ggas In Paris played back-to-back for emphasis (and for pure fuckery I’m sure).

The show ended, just before midnight local time, with a performance of Jay-Z’s Encore and the crowd chanting “Hova” followed by “Kanye”.

One more show in Toronto tonight.
